1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Hot Debates, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use our service. You must be at least 18 years old to use Hot Debates.

2. Service Description

Hot Debates is a platform where users pay $1 USD to vote on polarizing questions and debates. Each vote is a public commitment to your opinion, and all votes are final once payment is processed.

3. Payment and Voting

• Cost: Each vote costs $1 USD, processed through Stripe.
• Non-Refundable: All payments are final and non-refundable. By voting, you publicly commit to your opinion.
• One Vote Per Question: You may only vote once per debate topic. Additional votes on the same topic will be rejected.
• Valid Payment Method: You must provide a valid payment method. Failed transactions will not record your vote.

4. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Attempt to manipulate voting results through fraud or multiple accounts
• Use automated systems or bots to vote
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the service
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Reverse engineer or attempt to access our backend systems
• Make unauthorized commercial use of Hot Debates

5. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality on Hot Debates (including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software) are owned by Hot Debates and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of our service without permission.

6. Vote Data and Privacy

Your votes are publicly displayed as aggregated statistics. We may display vote distribution by geographic region. Individual vote details are not publicly attributed to you. See our Privacy Policy for more information.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Hot Debates is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Use at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hot Debates and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

• Your access to or use of (or inability to use) the service
• Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers
• Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code
• Any errors or omissions in content

Our total liability to you for all claims shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (i.e., the total of your $1 votes).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hot Debates, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of our service or violation of these terms.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Hot Debates at any time, for any reason, without notice. This includes, but is not limited to, violations of these terms or suspicious activity.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Hot Debates operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Hot Debates shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except where prohibited by law.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of Hot Debates after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

13. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
